A few years ago I decided to build a dinning table. I would like to announce that I have completed the table. The development of the table spanned multiple years, and a stint of time in my brothers garage. Version 1 of the table was very wobbly. I spilled hundreds of drinks and lots of food due to this wobbliness. In recent weeks I set a goal to re-engineer this table and use a more conventional design. After this re-build the table stability is on par with a commercially manufactured table. Ultimately even if we have the knowledge to build something it can often be the tools that limit the outcome. Lesson learned.
Don’t ask me how much this whole process has cost…

I have been using iTunes since Christmas and I have to say it is a really well thought out system. I am having some troubles though…. I have downloaded several “Apps” including Remote, Facebook and a currency / exchange rate widget, which were all free. I use Gift Cards to top up my iTunes account and it is also a great way to budget in these less than favorable economic times. Unfortunately I can’t seem to purchase items from the App Store with my iTunes credit. It wants to have billing information attached to the account. Am I doing something wrong? Can you use iTunes credits to buy stuff on the App Store? It seems likly given that the “Redeem” screen pops up sometimes… which is by association attached to iTunes credit.
In any event, it is a “seam” in a so called “seamless” system.

A while back I got a parking ticket. The cause of the ticket seemed so absurd that I actually decided to dispute the ticket. The reason for the ticket is as follows. “Park[ed] in a metered space while metered space was used by another vehicle.”
How can I have been parked in a space if another vehicle is using that space… Did I park on top? Did I fold my car up and toss it inside the other car? Better yet… Did I park on top or underneath the other car?
All sarcasim aside the people at city hall forgave the ticket even after I had disputed by fax and failed. I told them they should have ticketed the other car as that car was really parked in my space. Ha Ha.

Recently on business travels I was lucky enough to travel to London, Paris and Koln. It was a fun trip although packed with business meetings. One of the most enjoyable tourist places we went to was the Cathedral in Cologne. You can read about it here.
I also enjoyed the Louvre, however I only had enough time to walk through 6 wings.
In London I had time to ride the London Eye, see Big Ben, and Westminster Abbey. I am going to put some pictures up on both Flickr and on my Facebook profile.
It was a lot of fun!

eBay is making big changes. In my opinion this is good news for everyone that uses the eBay platform. Aside from fee changes here are some of the things you will see changing:
- A better finding experience for buyers
- Better “Multiple Item Listing system”
- Useful tools for sellers to automate their business (Project ECHO)
eBay is making a sincere effort to encourage a fun and profitable platform to do business.
eBay also announced that it is discontinuing the eBay Market Research(EMR) product for eBay users. The customers have various options and eBay has setup an easy upgrade path for user to access terapeak eBay Market Research. terapeak also setup some killer discounts to help the eBay community make a smooth transition from the eBay Market Research (EMR) service to terapeak.
We have always been committed to the eBay community and I appreciate every eBay member. We love to hear from our users and they provide us with great feedback on how to continue to improve our services.
